Eric Epstein, PhD Business and Technical Development Lead

Dr. Epstein is a materials chemist with expertise in polymer synthesis and characterization. He has successfully led several multidisciplinary projects in both academia and industry.
After earning his PhD in Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Dr. Epstein began his career at PPG Industries where he co-developed and commercialized a new 3D printing technology and later co-developed a process for manufacturing the canopy of the F-35 fighter jet.

Dr. Epstein enthusiastically began consulting for TearDx in 2020 and has since played a critical role in laying the groundwork for TearDx’s bioassay platform.
